How Our Consignment Works

Consigning here is easy!  We don’t require people to make appointments, you can simple stop in Tuesday thru Thursday with your items.  The only days we don’t accept consignments is on Friday & Saturday.  Although we try to be as flexible as possible, we still have a few rules.  We allow our consignor’s to bring up to 10 items per week, per consignor.  This means you can come in only once a week with 10 items to consign but are welcome to shop anytime!  With over 1,200 consignors’ it makes it fair for everyone and it allows us to get the merchandise out within a timely manner.


We only accept in season items, so if it’s summer please don’t bring in long sleeve shirts and leather jackets.   Please call us first to confirm what types of items we are accepting.  We require you to bring your garments in on hangers and not stuffed in a plastic bag.  Don’t worry, we will give you your hangers back.  We only take items that are two years or newer and they must be in style.  We are very strict about the age of the clothing and the condition.  If there is a lot of wear and tear that means you got your money’s worth and we aren’t interested in consigning that item.    Please make sure the garments are clean, free of odors such as smoke, moth balls and musty smells.  Although we are pet lovers, we don’t love pet hair on the clothes, plus some of us have allergies. 


If you’re consigning shoes, please make sure they are clean and show little or no wear.  Purses need to be clean, in style and please make sure all your belongings are out of them.  We love jewelry, all kinds just make sure your watches have batteries!  Decorative items are a big hit as well as artwork.  We don’t do well with crystal, silver, stemware, dishes, utensils, electronics and antiques.   We have limited floor space so please check with us first before you bring in any large items.  If you have never consigned before, we invite you to visit the store first to see what we are all about!


We have a 60 day consignments period with a 50/50 split.  If the items do not sell within the 60 days we donate them to local charities.  We write checks upon request, otherwise if you are shopping and want to apply your credit towards your purchase we will do that.  We love it when people don’t have to take their wallets out to shop!  You can also use your credit towards layaway items or even convert your credit into a Gift Certificate for a friend or loved one. 


We will not call you if you are owed money, we ask that our consignor’s check in with us from time to time to see if they are owed money.  With over 1,200 consignor’s we would be making a lot of telephone calls when an item would sell.
